Job Description
Make an impact supporting students as a contract Occupational Therapist in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. This opportunity offers flexibility and a manageable caseload, allowing you to focus on meaningful and individualized care for students. You'll split your dedicated support across two schools in St. Paul, providing essential services to students with diverse needs.
In this role, you’ll have the unique chance to utilize your expertise in both on-site and teletherapy settings, making a difference through direct care, collaboration, and supporting IEP goals. With each school averaging fewer than 15 students on your caseload, the environment is conducive to targeted, relationship-driven therapy. Each school requires your support two days per week, with the potential for an additional half-day dedicated to meetings and paperwork—to ensure your professional input drives effective student plans.
Ideal candidates will bring experience from varied settings and a deep commitment to student success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license, with eligibility in Minnesota
- Previous experience working in schools, home health, or teletherapy modalities
- Familiarity with special education and IEP process
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to work independently and manage scheduling across multiple locations
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, and passionate about student advocacy
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students according to IEP requirements
- Participate in meetings, contribute to paperwork, and collaborate with school teams
- Provide both in-person and virtual therapy, adapting interventions to student needs
- Maintain clear and timely documentation of evaluations, progress reports, and goals
