Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) for K-4
- Previous experience working in elementary settings, preferably K-4
- Strong track record developing and implementing IEPs
- Skilled at both push-in and pull-out program delivery
- Training in Orton-Gillingham or similar structured literacy approaches preferred
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve a caseload of 10 students embedded in general education classrooms
- Deliver a combination of push-in and pull-out support based on individual needs
- Develop, monitor, and report on IEP goals and learning progress
- Plan differentiated instruction that addresses various learning styles and disabilities
- Provide direct literacy intervention, particularly utilizing Orton-Gillingham principles
- Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and support classroom integration
