Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working in a school environment, particularly as a paraprofessional or classroom aide
• Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with students, teachers, and staff
• Flexible and adaptive approach to supporting diverse learning styles and needs
• Familiarity with implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), behavior strategies, or learning accommodations is a plus
• Proficient in following instructions and managing multiple tasks in a busy classroom setting
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in child development or education preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instructional support to students individually, in small groups, or within the classroom setting
• Assist teachers in preparing and organizing educational materials and classroom activities
• Support students’ social-emotional growth, offering encouragement and positive reinforcement throughout the school day
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations to classroom teachers or special education staff
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
• Foster independence and self-advocacy skills in students while offering appropriate levels of assistance
