Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct orthopedic evaluations and provide tailored treatment plans.
  • Oversee discipline-specific therapy services and educate patients, families, students, and colleagues.
  • Perform thorough evaluations and ensure timely and accurate documentation.
  • Engage in performance improvement initiatives and student programs.
  • Comply with professional standards, state regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Prioritize patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling and infection control.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA-accredited program.
    • An active Physical Therapy license in New Jersey is essential to commence the role.
    • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be necessary.
    • Preferred experience in outpatient orthopedic settings.
    • Capability to conduct 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions.
    • Familiarity with documentation, goal setting, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in line with state and federal regulations.
    • Proven skills in safe patient handling and infection control practices.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in supervising students and engaging in clinical education.
    • Prior experience in travel or contract therapy roles is advantageous.
    • Involvement in performance improvement projects and clinical documentation systems is a plus.
Assignment Details
  • Schedule: 5 days a week, 8 hours per day.
  • Flexible 40-hour work week with occasional evening shifts until 7 PM.
  • Focus on an orthopedic patient demographic.
  • Potential to float to other local facilities as required.
