English as a Second Language (ESL) Gen Ed Teacher - Gurnee, Illinois

Multiple openings are available for experienced General Education and ESL Teachers to work with 5th and 6th grade students, as well as K-2 English Second Language learners. This is a full-time opportunity located near Gurnee, IL, running from August 17 through May 27, 2027.

Positions Available:

• 5th Grade Dual Math/Science (2 positions)
• 5th Grade Dual Social Studies/ELA (1 position)
• 6th Grade Dual Math/Science (1 position)
• K-2 English Second Language Teacher (PREK responsibilities)

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with the appropriate endorsements for the subject and level
• Background in curriculum design, instructional planning, and classroom implementation
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal
• Commitment to serving students on-site (remote options are not being considered)

• Deliver engaging and effective instruction tailored to the assigned grade and subject area
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere
• Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, including English Language Learners
• Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and families to ensure student growth and achievement
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in required school meetings
