Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a skilled Occupational Therapist or COTA, supporting students across preschool through 8th grade. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working in a collaborative, welcoming school environment close to Sunnyvale, CA.

You'll be engaged for six months, from August 12, 2026, through approximately February 12, 2027. Work up to 37.5 hours each week, Monday through Friday, helping to foster independence, participation, and confidence in young learners. The school prides itself on providing a positive setting for both staff and students, emphasizing holistic student growth and interprofessional collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California
  • Previous pediatric, school-based, or educational experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and educational teams
  • Commitment to individualized student care and supporting diverse learning needs

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver direct therapy services to students preschool through 8th grade based on IEP goals
  • Conduct evaluations, interpret results, and participate in developing student-centered treatment plans
  • Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to promote best practices and carry over of strategies in the classroom and at home
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation aligned with school and legal standards
  • Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure each child's success
