GL Accountant Beaverton, OR (Onsite) $70,000 - $80,000 + Excellent Benefits
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected nonprofit healthcare organization to recruit a GL Accountant. This full-time, onsite opportunity offers the chance to join a mission-driven organization.
Reporting to the Controller, the GL Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and reporting requirements. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment where their contributions directly support community-focused services.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and general ledger reconciliations
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Review, analyze, and correct financial reports as needed
• Assist with audit preparation and auditor requests
• Provide support with accounts payable activities during peak periods
• Maintain accounting records and ensure proper record retention
• Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and special projects
• Support process improvement initiatives and enhance accounting efficiencies
• Perform additional accounting-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience
• Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Healthcare industry experience
• Nonprofit accounting experience
• Familiarity with payroll accounting and financial systems
• CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus
• Experience with Paycom or similar HRIS platforms
