We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support within a busy specialty medical practice. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional patient care. This role supports providers through patient intake, clinical procedures, care coordination, and administrative responsibilities to ensure efficient daily operations.

Responsibilities/ Job Duties:

  • Greet and room patients while ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and required consents.
  • Prepare examination rooms and maintain adequate supplies and equipment.
  • Assist providers during examinations and in-office procedures.
  • Perform basic clinical duties such as specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and preparing laboratory specimens for processing.
  • Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, procedures, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain infection control standards and ensure exam rooms are properly cleaned and stocked.
  • Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Coordinate referrals, authorizations, diagnostic testing, imaging, and follow-up appointments.
  • Assist with surgical and procedural scheduling, including pre-operative and post-operative coordination.
  • Respond to patient calls, portal messages, and other communications in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care.
  • Complete additional administrative and clinical duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a specialty or outpatient clinical setting preferred.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred or required based on state regulations.
  • Experience using electronic medical records (EMR); familiarity with specialty practice software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Schedule/ Shift: Day Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
