Speech Language Pathologist in Des Plaines, IL

Step into a dynamic opportunity supporting students and staff through assistive technology in an educational setting near Des Plaines, IL. This contract position runs from August 12 to November 3, offering impactful work with a structured weekday schedule. You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, conducting evaluations and supporting educational staff across seven schools within Buffalo Grove and Long Grove.

Key Qualifications:

• Active SLP credentials; CCC or CFY accepted
• Experience or interest in assistive technology within school settings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel daily between multiple schools
• Open to working with students across all age groups within K-12

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide travel-based support and expertise to staff regarding assistive technology tools and strategies
• Conduct thorough evaluations as part of student support teams (no management of a set caseload)
• Consult with educators and administrators to implement assistive communication solutions
• Attend team meetings and contribute to individualized education planning (IEPs) as needed
• Document evaluations, recommendations, and services in compliance with district standards
