Make a real difference supporting students as a contract paraprofessional in an engaging school-based role near San Mateo, CA! We're searching for compassionate, hardworking professionals equipped to meet the varied needs of students in special education settings. Flexibility and teamwork are essential, as you’ll be assigned where support is most needed. All paraprofessional candidates must be comfortable assisting in all necessary tasks—including toileting, diapering, feeding, and G-tube feeding. A can-do attitude and willingness to embrace all aspects of student care are crucial.

Minimum Requirements (must be reflected as “S10/S10A” and any other S-qualifications in your profile):

• Associate’s degree or higher, OR 48 college units + high school diploma, OR passing of CBEST or instructional aide exam with high school diploma
• Additional S-qualifications (S10E, S10F, S10Q, S10W, S20D, S20V, S22) strongly encouraged—please clearly list all on application
• Openness to all student assignments and willingness to flex as needs change
• Team-oriented mindset—must collaborate seamlessly with staff and demonstrate adaptability
• Ability to complete training including CPR, First Aid, emergency medication administration, health care procedures, or sign language/Braille (where applicable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional, behavioral, and personal care support to students individually or in group settings
• Assist with daily living activities as assigned, including physical care and health-related procedures
• Help implement lesson plans, reinforce learning, facilitate communication, and foster student independence
• Create a nurturing, safe, and respectful environment for all learners

Compensation aligns with local standards—pay starts at $34.25 per hour.Schedule: 27.5 hours per week; assignments may vary depending on campus needs.
