Operating Room Technician in Pelham, AL

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience as a Surgical Technologist (certified or non-certified) or Operating Room Technician required
• Demonstrated knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile technique, and surgical environment protocols
• Previous work assisting physicians, nurses, and surgical teams in an operating room setting
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure all instruments and equipment are prepared
• Commitment to best practices for infection control and patient safety
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments according to procedure requirements
• Support surgical teams by handing instruments and supplies during operations
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper handling of instruments and materials
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and prepping as required
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures to ensure accuracy
• Clean and restock operating rooms following procedures
• Comply with all safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols

$1,331 - $1,408/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
