Job Description

We are seeking a Pollinator (Alfalfa) to join our team at Forage Genetics. The role supports breeding operations for alfalfa germplasm development and greenhouse maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, solid computer experience, and the ability to work independently after training.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with alfalfa breeding operations, including crossing activities.
• Perform greenhouse plant maintenance: staking, pruning, potting, watering, seeding, counting, and cleaning.
• Grind alfalfa samples using a coarse grinder and collect quality samples in the field (spring through fall).
• Maintain accurate records and follow PPE and safety requirements, including mask, hearing protection, and goggles.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Attention to detail and good eye-hand coordination for work with small and fragile plant material.
• Ability to work independently after training and perform repetitive, precise tasks.
• Computer experience and strong listening skills; self-motivated and collaborative mindset.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
