Special Education Teacher in Inman, SC

This contract position runs from August 6 to May 28, offering you the opportunity to work school-day hours from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. You'll support a caseload of 35 students in grades 6 through 8, helping them achieve academic growth and personal success.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience in a middle school setting is preferred
• Ability to adapt instruction for students with diverse learning needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Organizational skills to manage IEPs, progress monitoring, and classroom responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction aligned with each student’s goals
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
• Maintain regular communication with families regarding student progress
• Utilize data to inform instruction and participate in ongoing professional development
• Support students’ social and emotional well-being
