Location: Richmond, VA

Pay Rate: $28.00-$30.00/hr (during contract period)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM (1st Shift)

Hiring Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Overview

One of our large manufacturing clients is seeking a Manufacturing Production Coordinator to join their growing team in Richmond, VA. This individual will support the timely flow of customer orders through production by coordinating information and priorities across Production, Planning, Sales, Materials, and other support functions.

The Manufacturing Production Coordinator will monitor production progress, material availability, and schedule risks while communicating accurate order status updates and helping resolve issues that could impact production completion or customer delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of coordination between Production, Planning, and Sales regarding order status, priorities, schedule changes, and delivery risks.
  • Monitor production schedules, work-in-process activities, and customer orders from release through completion.
  • Provide timely and accurate production status updates to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Production and Planning teams to clarify priorities and support on-time completion of scheduled work.
  • Identify material shortages, inventory discrepancies, quality concerns, capacity constraints, and other production-related issues.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve routine issues and escalate significant risks when necessary.
  • Monitor parts and material availability and maintain accurate information within production and inventory systems.
  • Coordinate the movement of materials into and out of storage and production areas following established procedures.
  • Support Sales and Customer Service teams by providing approved updates on order progress and potential delays.
  • Participate in production meetings and communicate follow-up actions as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production operations environment.
  • Experience working with work orders.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business applications.
  • Experience using ERP, production management, or inventory management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Power BI.
