Make a difference in the lives of students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive school setting near Portland, OR. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with high school students, helping them to develop essential communication and language skills that will shape their academic and social success. With a flexible schedule of 24 hours per week and a targeted start date in late August, you will have the chance to build meaningful connections in the upcoming school year.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP license for Oregon, or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Will consider Clinical Fellows (CFY)
- Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
- Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and other school professionals
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech, language, and communication assessments and therapy to high school students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the school team
- Maintain accurate documentation on progress and compliance
- Support students through direct intervention and consultation with teachers and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment
