School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Oxnard, California

Step into a fulfilling contract role dedicated to fostering communication skills in preschool students ages 3 to 5. This opportunity is designed for a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant passionate about early intervention and collaborative school-based support. Working full-time across multiple school sites, you will play a key part in helping children reach critical milestones, all while having the backup of another SLP and collaborating with professionals from other disciplines.

You’ll manage a caseload of up to 50 delightful preschoolers, with the comfort of knowing you’re not alone—another SLP at your site will contribute support and camaraderie. With the school year already in session, your expertise is needed to start as soon as possible and continue through June 17, 2026. The school also has occupational therapy needs, offering you an excellent chance to work in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications:

• Active California licensure as an SLP (CCC or CFY) or SLPA
• Experience or strong interest working in early childhood and/or school-based settings
• Familiarity with interventions for students ages 3-5
• Ability to manage a caseload and complete comprehensive documentation
• Comfortable utilizing teletherapy platforms (such as Google Meet)
• Collaborative approach to serve alongside other SLPs and related service providers

Responsibilites:

• Provide direct therapy to preschool students in both in-person and remote formats
• Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and participate in IEP meetings
• Deliver engaging intervention plans tailored to each student’s needs
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state regulations
• Coordinate with teachers, parents, and other related service staff
