Job Description
Step into a pivotal role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract opportunity spans August 2026 through June 2027, offering 32.5 to 37.5 hours weekly within a dedicated K-12 environment. You’ll collaborate with a supportive educational team to serve students, typically in small group settings of 10 or fewer, many of whom are on the autism spectrum and utilize AAC devices for communication.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous experience in school-based settings is highly valued
- Comfortable working with K-12 students, including those with autism
- Familiarity or willingness to learn about AAC devices and alternative communication methods
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities in accordance with IEP requirements
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices
- Provide direct and consultative services, adapting session plans for students who utilize AAC technology
- Engage in collaboration with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support students’ learning and communication goals
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and progress tracking aligned with district and state guidelines
