School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Irvine, California

Step into a rewarding role supporting students in the vibrant San Juan Capistrano area! Dynamic Speech-Language Pathologists are needed for three full-time, on-site leave of absence coverage assignments, serving preschool, elementary, or middle school populations. You'll make a direct impact on student communication and academic growth while collaborating closely with dedicated teams in supportive school communities.

Multiple long-term opportunities are available, with most assignments running from mid-September through mid-December, October through a spring break period (with a strong possibility to extend through the end of the academic year), or starting as soon as possible with potential for longer-term placement. Each SLP will manage a caseload averaging 55 students, providing therapeutic services, support, and expertise in diverse educational environments.

Ideal candidates will bring:

• A master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• An active California SLP license
• Previous experience in a school-based setting, preferably working with preschool, elementary, or middle school students
• Confidence working independently, adapting to different school cultures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for creating positive relationships with staff, students, and families

You will be responsible for:

• Conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and providing direct and consultative SLP services
• Collaborating with teachers, administration, and families to support student success
• Monitoring progress and documenting interventions in accordance with district standards
• Delivering therapy and programming tailored to varying age groups and needs
• Remaining engaged and adaptable, both with your assigned students and staff colleagues
