Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with their educational goals
• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
• Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment that promotes academic and social-emotional growth
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff collaboration, and professional development opportunities
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district special education regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
• Active Arkansas Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain through reciprocity or an Alternative Licensure Program)
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, classroom management, and evidence-based instructional strategies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to successfully complete all required background checks and fingerprinting
