You’ll work with a diverse K-12 population, with efforts made to match caseload assignments to your strengths, preferences, and commute preferences. Collaboration is at the core, as you’ll work alongside educators and other specialists to deliver high-quality speech and language services that shape students’ academic and social success.
What you’ll bring:
- Valid SLP licensure in Michigan (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience in schools preferred, but passionate new graduates are welcome
- Reliable, organized, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Openness to working with both elementary and secondary students
What you’ll do:
- Assess and identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families on goals and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans
- Provide therapy in-person and document progress effectively
- Adapt interventions for both one-on-one and group settings
