Middle School Elementary Occupational Therapist School Setting - Elgin, IL

Exciting FMLA coverage opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support students in elementary and middle school resource and self-contained settings. This full-time, onsite contract role will allow you to make a real difference while working closely with dedicated colleagues and leaders. Orientation is scheduled for August 3 and 4, with students starting August 7. The assignment runs through October 15, 2026, providing stability and the chance to showcase your skills in a collaborative environment.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold a valid Occupational Therapy license, with experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Comfortable providing therapy to both elementary and middle school students
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively onsite within a school environment
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Readiness to adapt to various caseloads and special education needs

What You'll Do:

• Deliver comprehensive OT services to students in resource and self-contained classrooms
• Attend and participate in IEP meetings and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
• Utilize provided equipment and assessment tools for high-quality intervention
• Engage in regular consultation and collaboration time with fellow OTs
• Participate in monthly meetings, professional development, and performance reviews
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance service delivery
• Connect with an easy-to-reach supervisor for ongoing mentorship
• Be paired with a “Buddy” for a thorough onboarding experience
• Leverage real-time communications and resources through a user-friendly intranet
