Occupational Therapist School Setting - Saint Amant, LA

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current state OT license (or eligibility)
• Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric clients is preferred
• Confident in assessing and treating students from kindergarten through 8th grade
• Collaborative communication style with teachers, staff, and families
• Strong organizational and time-management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the needs of students and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to support student IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers and families to integrate therapy strategies within the classroom environment
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expert recommendations
• Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with requirements
• Promote student independence in motor skills, self-care, and participation in school routines
