Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an experienced Support Pharmacist to provide expert coverage at outpatient pharmacy locations in Peoria and Wheat Ridge, Colorado. This role requires a detail-oriented pharmacist comfortable managing responsibilities across two sites on a contract-to-hire basis, with an assignment lasting 13+ weeks.
Location: Peoria and Wheat Ridge, Colorado
Schedule: Work schedule involves splitting time between both outpatient pharmacies
Assignment Type: Contract to Hire, 13+ weeks
Compensation: $55–$65 per hour, commensurate with experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately verify and fill prescriptions, ensuring patient safety
- Identify and resolve potential drug interactions and conduct drug-utilization reviews
- Comply with regulations when dispensing controlled substances
- Manage and stock medications while overseeing pharmacy inventory levels
- Respond professionally to incoming patient and provider phone inquiries
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions efficiently
- Provide thorough patient counseling regarding medication usage and safety
- Perform additional pharmacy-related duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Colorado pharmacist license in good standing is required
- Minimum of one year outpatient or retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency with Epic Willow system is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with excellent patient counseling abilities
- Flexibility and ability to travel between Peoria and Wheat Ridge locations are essential
