Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist to provide professional pharmacy services in a long-term care and mail order environment. This contract role offers a 13-week assignment with a schedule designed to deliver consistent, quality pharmaceutical care to patients.

Schedule:

  • Wednesday to Sunday: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Monday to Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Location: West Valley City, UT

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor patient medication adherence and identify over-usage patterns.
  • Ensure medication supply and prescriptions meet legal and professional standards.
  • Maintain confidential and precise patient records.
  • Advise patients on medication usage, potential reactions, and answer inquiries.
  • Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medicines including storage, dosage, side effects, and interactions.
  • Deliver additional patient services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure, and cholesterol management.
  • Educate patients on the correct use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
  • Compound medications, including preparation of sterile solutions following proper protocols.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff such as technicians and clerks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers to address drug-related patient issues.

Qualifications:

  • Active Pharmacist License in Washington State.
  • Experience in Long Term Care, Mail Order, or Retail pharmacy settings.
