Physician Assistant (PA) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) - General Orthopaedics

Location: Pontiac, Illinois

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing General Orthopaedics team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide care in both an outpatient clinic and hospital/operating room setting while working alongside experienced orthopaedic specialists.

Schedule
  • Full-Time

  • Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

  • Surgery Cases: Typically 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with orthopaedic conditions.

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.

  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic imaging.

  • Perform orthopaedic procedures.

  • Assist physicians during surgical procedures in the operating room.

  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education.

  • Prescribe medications and orthopaedic devices in accordance with state regulations.

  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.

  • Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.

  • Active Illinois PA or NP license (or eligibility to obtain).

  • Current BLS Certification.

  • Current DEA and Controlled Substance Registration (or ability to obtain).

  • Excellent communication, clinical, and interpersonal skills.

  • Interest in General Orthopaedics.
