Job Description
Make a significant impact in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive school setting. This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to deliver direct therapy, collaborate with educators, and foster meaningful progress for a diverse caseload of approximately 43 students.
Work within a collaborative school community, providing essential speech and language services from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, providing a consistent routine throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in elementary school settings strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Strong preference for professionals already licensed to practice as an SLP in North Carolina
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and support staff
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Organized, adaptable, and passionate about helping children succeed
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and write evaluation reports
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver therapy services both individually and in small groups
- Track student progress and maintain all required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Consult with teachers and staff to support students’ communication needs within the classroom
