Make a difference in young lives by providing vital support to elementary students as a school social worker this upcoming fall. This contract position is based in a dynamic K-5 setting, offering the chance to foster growth and well-being for students within a supportive school community. The assignment begins August 12, 2026, and extends through November 4, 2026, with the potential for continued opportunities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) license and PEL are required
  • Demonstrated experience in a school-based social work role
  • Skilled in providing services and interventions for K-5 students
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy abilities
  • Deep commitment to supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic success

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct social work services to students in grades K-5, tailored to individual and group needs
  • Facilitate crisis intervention, counseling, and behavioral support as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to implement strategies for student success
  • Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state standards
  • Advocate for the well-being of students and serve as a liaison between the school, family, and community resources

Position Details:

  • Full-time, onsite commitment from 8:00 AM – 3:35 PM
