Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, though enthusiastic new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and the ability to follow therapy plans developed by licensed SLPs
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy sessions to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Implement individualized communication programs and track student progress
- Collect, record, and report data on student performance
- Assist with preparation of materials and resources to support therapy goals
- Participate in team meetings, IEP discussions, and parent conferences as needed
- Support a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students
