Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred, though enthusiastic new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and the ability to follow therapy plans developed by licensed SLPs
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy sessions to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Implement individualized communication programs and track student progress
  • Collect, record, and report data on student performance
  • Assist with preparation of materials and resources to support therapy goals
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP discussions, and parent conferences as needed
  • Support a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students
