Inpatient IV Certified Pharmacy Technician in Edison, NJ

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare facility is seeking two experienced inpatient pharmacy technicians to join their team on a 13-week contract starting August 24. This role is ideal for individuals who are IV certified and have a strong background in hospital inpatient pharmacy settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare, package, and distribute medications for inpatient use in a hospital setting.
• Assist pharmacists in the compounding and dispensing of intravenous (IV) medications, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintain proper inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies, restocking as needed.
• Document and verify prescriptions to support seamless patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet patient medication needs efficiently.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician with IV certification.
• Experience working in hospital inpatient pharmacy settings is essential.
• Strong knowledge of medication preparation, dosage calculations, and sterile techniques.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
