Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary-aged students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity, located near Tigard and just outside Portland, begins in November and continues through June, aligning perfectly with the academic calendar.

Ideal candidates bring expertise in the school setting, with a focus on pediatric speech-language pathology. Whether you hold your CCC or are completing your Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), your background in SLP within healthcare or education will be valuable. You’ll have the chance to work closely with a dedicated SLPA to maximize student growth.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or CFY in progress
  • Experience with pediatric and elementary-aged populations
  • Familiarity with school-based service delivery models
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with an SLPA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate students' speech, language, and communication skills
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for elementary students
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student success
  • Supervise and mentor an SLPA to ensure best practices and student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
