Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who holds their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). This is a full-time, onsite contract role beginning as soon as possible and extending through the ‘26/’27 school year. The position is located near Rio Rancho, NM, and will allow you to make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ communication and learning in a dynamic educational environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) issued by ASHA
- Experience in a school setting preferred, though strong clinical experience will be considered
- Proficiency in assessing, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for school-age children
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning atmosphere
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person speech and language therapy for students with a range of communication challenges
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and monitor progress
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure effective support
- Participate in IEP meetings, provide consultative services, and offer staff training as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Contribute to multidisciplinary teams to support students’ success
