Preferred Background & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License, or eligibility to obtain via reciprocity
- Experience developing, implementing, and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong knowledge of IDEA and current special education compliance requirements
- Proven collaboration and communication skills with educators and families
- Specializations in areas such as Academic/Behavioral Strategist (ABS), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Emotional or Behavioral Disorders (EBD), Developmental Disabilities (DD), or Learning Disabilities (LD) are highly valued
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop, deliver, and monitor effective IEPs tailored to student goals
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
- Employ best practices in behavior management, crisis prevention, and inclusive instruction
- Collaborate closely with general education teams, related services, and administration
- Maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Foster positive, inclusive learning spaces supporting every student’s needs
