Shape impactful student experiences as a physical therapist working throughout a vibrant and diverse school district. This contract opportunity combines in-person and hybrid options, allowing you to deliver direct and consultative PT services to students across multiple campuses. With a student body of approximately 14,000, your expertise will enhance access, engagement, and outcomes for learners of all abilities.

You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, providing both hands-on treatment and insightful consultations. Your professional input in IEP meetings and evaluations will be integral to each student’s educational journey. The role is set for the upcoming school year, beginning August 10, 2026, and concluding May 28, 2027. Expect a full-time schedule (37.5–40 hours per week), designed for those passionate about school-based therapy in a dynamic environment.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Physical Therapy license in Illinois
  • Previous experience in school-based PT services preferred
  • Strong ability to provide both direct treatment and consultative support
  • Skilled in conducting evaluations and crafting appropriate recommendations
  • Comfortable attending and contributing to IEP and other student support meetings
  • Flexible and adaptable for in-person and hybrid service delivery

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group PT services to a diverse student caseload
  • Perform assessments and participate in multidisciplinary team evaluations
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to plan and implement strategies
  • Attend required meetings and provide documentation as needed
  • Support student independence and participation in educational settings
