Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting high school students by bringing your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to a vibrant educational environment. This contract position offers full-time hours during the school year, providing you the fulfillment of working onsite with dedicated students and staff. You’ll play a key role in empowering students to participate fully in their educational journey, using creative strategies and interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to high school students in accordance with IEP goals
- Assess individual students to determine needs and make recommendations for accommodations or modifications
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support students’ academic and functional achievement
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Maintain accurate documentation for all evaluations, treatment sessions, and communications
- Participate in IEP meetings, present progress data, and set new intervention goals as needed
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license (required)
- Demonstrated school-based OT experience
- Proficiency working onsite in high school settings
- Not accepting COTAs for this role
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
