Desired Qualifications:
- Current New York State School Psychologist license (required)
- Strong understanding of assessment procedures, intervention strategies, and special education processes
- Demonstrated expertise in working with children and adolescents in educational settings
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
- Flexibility, adaptability, and commitment to supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret evaluation data for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with team members
- Provide direct counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support to students as needed
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student progress and intervention strategies
- Maintain timely documentation in compliance with state and district regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and actively contribute to data-driven educational decision-making
