Join a specialized pharmacy team as a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist in Irving, TX, committed to delivering high-quality home infusion therapy. This 13-week contract role requires a proactive candidate ready to start immediately, focused on individualized patient care and medication safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients for eligibility of home infusion therapy and coordinate care plans accordingly.
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust medication therapy utilizing clinical assessments, lab results, and pharmacokinetic principles.
  • Prepare, verify, and dispense sterile medications following USP standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on medication regimens and infusion techniques.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and monitor patient outcomes.
  • Manage infusion devices and maintain quality assurance in medication administration.
  • Provide accurate drug information, maintain documentation, and support compliance with safety initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in Texas.
  • Minimum of one year of sterile IV compounding experience, or equivalent experience such as non-sterile compounding, immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), completion of an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency, or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE).
  • Strong clinical knowledge of home infusion pharmacy practices.
  • Skilled in interpreting laboratory values and applying pharmacokinetic principles.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to counsel patients and provide outstanding customer service.
