What You’ll Bring:

• Demonstrated SLI certification or equivalent credential
• 0-3 years of experience (early career candidates encouraged)
• Increased rate consideration for 4-6 years or 7+ years of direct interpreting experience
• Thorough knowledge of deaf culture and communication access needs in school settings
• Ability to interpret for students with little or no verbal communication, adapting sign language and interpreting strategies as needed
• Flexibility to work on-site at least four days per week (on-site or hybrid options available)
• Passion for fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver in-person or hybrid sign language interpreting for students and staff
• Support effective communication in classrooms, small groups, and evaluation settings
• Collaborate closely with teachers, SAILS, and STEPs program staff
• Adjust interpreting methods to meet individual student communication styles and needs
• Maintain precise, confidential records and promote student engagement
