Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Two Clinical Pharmacist openings are available immediately for direct hire in a 359-bed pediatric teaching hospital focused on trauma care. This is a day shift role with hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, offering a fast-paced, collaborative work environment and progressive resources in Arkansas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compound and dispense prescribed medications per physicians’ instructions.
  • Consult with medical staff regarding drug interactions, patient history, and medication usage.
  • Respond to patient inquiries about medication and dosage.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy data recording, security, and hospital policies.
  • Verify medication doses appropriate for pediatric patients considering diagnosis, weight, and age.
  • Identify and intervene in drug therapy problems such as allergies or adverse interactions.
  • Evaluate and recommend drug therapies, including non-formulary medications.
  • Assure quality preparation, labeling, and delivery of medications.
  • Prioritize and process medication orders accurately and promptly.
  • Participate in patient care teams and education of patients and healthcare staff.
  • Conduct drug information services and support drug utilization reviews.
  • Manage medication inventory and coordinate procurement processes.

Qualifications:

  • Arkansas pharmacy license preferred; temporary license granted.
  • Minimum 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
  • IV therapy experience or certification preferred.
  • Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) credential preferred.
  • New graduates encouraged to apply.

Location: Jacksonville, Arkansas.

This role offers a negotiable compensation package ranging approximately from $107,000 to $154,000 annually, with potential relocation incentives. Candidates currently pursuing licensure are encouraged to inquire.
