CDL Truck Driver Class B

We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.\n

\n*Responsibilities*\n
\n
\n* Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers\n
\n* Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance\n
\n* Plan routes and meet delivery schedules\n
\n* Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts\n
\n* Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process\n
\n* Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures\n
\n* Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions\n
\n* Collect and verify delivery instructions\n
\n* Report defects, accidents or violations\n
\n
\n*Skills*\n
\n
\n* Proven work experience as a truck driver\n
\n* Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)\n
\n* Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly\n
\n* Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations\n
\n* No recent moving or driving violations\n
\n* Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)\n

\nValid truck driving license\n
\n
