Occupational Therapist School Setting in Donaldsonville, LA

Key Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist, eligible to practice in the state
• Experience providing occupational therapy services within school environments preferred
• Strong understanding of pediatric and developmental needs for K-8th grade students
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and students
• Ability to develop, adapt, and implement individualized therapy plans

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy services to K-8th grade students, both individually and in small group settings
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ needs and document progress
• Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals related to occupational therapy
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success and access to curriculum
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all federal, state, and district protocol and timelines
• Provide input on adaptive equipment and modifications to promote student independence within the school environment
