This full-time, contract role is a wonderful opportunity to support grades 1 through 8, working daily from 8:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. You will collaborate closely with teachers, families, and support staff, offering your expertise to nurture students’ success and well-being.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
  • Valid and current School Psychologist certification or license (as required for Connecticut)
  • Previous experience working with elementary or middle school-age children, grades 1-8
  • Strong communication skills with students, parents, and staff
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, MTSS/RTI frameworks, and crisis intervention protocols
  • Compassion, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students in grades 1-8
  • Support the development and implementation of individualized educational plans
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to promote students’ academic and emotional growth
  • Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and support for individuals and groups as needed
  • Participate and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and educational planning teams
  • Maintain confidential records and uphold professional ethical standards
