Maintenance Technician
Job Description
A client of ours is looking for a Maintenance Technicians in the Petersburg, VA area to assist maintaining their food packaging facility. This role involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical devices by observing operations, dismantling equipment, inspecting parts, and making necessary adjustments or replacements. The technician operates preventive and corrective maintenance tools, maintains cleanliness, follows company policies, and collaborates with team members to ensure product quality and safety.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of Maintenance Technician/Mechanic experience
%A1; Experience in food manufacturing facility/plant or high speed manufacturing facility/environment PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
- Ability to setup and operate equipment
- Diagnose industrial mechanical systems
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, preventative/general corrective maintenance, conveyors, gears, and electrical PREFERRED
