Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy (OT) license required
- Experience or knowledge working in school settings preferred
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators and families
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to individualized educational programs (IEPs)
- Organizational skills for managing caseloads and timely documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct assessments to determine student needs and develop targeted intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to promote student success
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate updates with the educational team
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute knowledge to multidisciplinary planning
- Implement evidence-based practices to foster students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and daily functional tasks
