Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy role is available in a Long Term Care Mail Order environment, offering a 13-week contract. This position is suited for experienced pharmacists who are detail-oriented and capable of managing patient care within regulatory guidelines.

Schedule:

  • Wednesday to Sunday: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Monday to Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor patient medication adherence and identify patterns of overuse.
  • Ensure medication supply complies with legal requirements.
  • Verify appropriateness of prescribed medications for patients.
  • Maintain confidential and accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation.
  • Provide patients with detailed consultations on medication usage, potential reactions, and answer related inquiries.
  • Deliver patient services including smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management.
  • Educate patients on the use and care of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
  • Compound medications orally and topically; prepare sterile solutions according to established protocols.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
  • Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory.
  • Identify drug-related patient issues and collaborate effectively with healthcare providers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Pharmacist license for Washington State.
  • Experience in Long Term Care, Mail Order, or Retail pharmacy settings.
