Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ growth and independence in a dynamic school setting! The ideal candidate for this contract position is an Occupational Therapist (OT) or experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) ready to contribute expertise in both onsite and teletherapy modalities. This assignment will cover a leave starting mid-August and stretching through January 2027, providing extended stability while making a true difference.
You will serve schools in the Rancho Cucamonga area, utilizing your strong background in fine motor skill development to help students thrive academically and socially. As you foster engagement and help each child reach their goals, you’ll collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist or COTA
- Previous experience in educational or pediatric settings preferred
- Skilled in direct therapy, teletherapy, and consultation
- Proficiency in addressing fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skill development
- Familiarity with IEP writing and the educational environment is a plus
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services in group and individual formats in alignment with student IEPs
- Conduct assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary evaluations
- Maintain accurate documentation of interventions and progress
- Collaborate with school staff and families for optimal student outcomes
- Provide teletherapy support as needed
- Assist with program planning and provide resources to teachers and caregivers
