Key Qualifications:

  • Ability to uphold confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times
  • Current interpreter certification or ability to meet state and school requirements

Core Responsibilities:

  • Interpret classroom instruction, group activities, and school events to facilitate clear communication between students, staff, and peers
  • Translate both spoken language to ASL and vice versa, adjusting signing style to suit the abilities of assigned students
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support learning goals
