Electronic Assembly Technician

Our client is seeking an experienced Electronic Assembly Technician to build, inspect, test, and troubleshoot electronic assemblies used in advanced research devices. This role is highly hands-on and requires strong soldering skills, experience reading schematics, and the ability to work independently in a production and laboratory environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble circuit boards, electronic components, and product systems
  • Perform SMT and through-hole soldering
  • Conduct inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and rework
  • Read schematics, assembly drawings, and BOMs
  • Support prototype builds and work directly with engineers
  • Use testing equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
  • Follow ESD and quality procedures
  • Help package and prepare finished products for shipment

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of electronic assembly experience
  • Strong SMT and through-hole soldering experience
  • Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and BOMs
  • Experience with electronic testing equipment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong attention to detail

Highly Preferred:

  • IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or NASA certifications
  • Experience building low-volume, high-complexity electronic instrumentation
  • Experience working in ESD-safe, laboratory, or cleanroom environments
