Job Description
Make a difference as a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist providing essential support to students for the upcoming academic term. There are two positions available: one full-time SLP role for the entire school year, and a second role covering a maternity leave at 0.8 FTE from August 19 to September 30. Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a K-12 school setting strongly preferred
- Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Adaptive communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Enthusiastic about supporting diverse learning needs and contributing to a dynamic school community
- Commitment to best practices in speech, language, and communication interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Evaluate student progress and document treatment effectiveness
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other educational professionals to support student achievement
- Maintain timely and compliant records in accordance with school and legal guidelines
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to the development of individualized student plans
