Job Description
Step into an impactful role serving K-12 students in a dynamic educational setting as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to assess and support students’ communication needs while working onsite in a collaborative environment. Full-time availability is preferred, but candidates seeking part-time hours will also be considered. The position starts as soon as possible and extends through June 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows will be considered
- Experience in a K-12 school setting highly desirable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to students across K-12 grades
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and implement therapy interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support students’ progress
- Maintain records and contribute to compliance with state and federal regulations
- Use evidence-based practices to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and school staff development as needed
