Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Exton, PA
Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary-aged students as a speech-language pathologist. This assignment offers a dynamic caseload of 30-40 students in grades K-4, with a primary focus on those in an Autism Support program. Your expertise will have a lasting impact, with a flexible daily schedule to meet the needs of students and schools.
Your skills in providing direct and indirect speech-language services will be invaluable. Expect to engage in therapy targeting articulation, language development, and AAC device use. Additional responsibilities include conducting standardized testing, completing evaluations, developing IEP goals and specially designed instruction (SDI), observing and collaborating with educational teams, and potentially providing case management for students with speech-only IEPs.
Qualifications:
- Active SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- School-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with elementary-aged students and Autism Spectrum Disorders is a plus
- Skilled in progress monitoring, IEP development, and AAC implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Must be available for onsite services (not eligible for CF, virtual CCC, or SLPA support at this time)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students in grades K-4
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Complete evaluations and standardized assessments
- Develop and implement IEP goals and SDIs
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students’ communication needs
- Provide occasional case management for students with speech-only IEPs
